I just quit smoking

Quit smoking today. Early in the morning I finished the last 2 left in my pack from the road-trip and I called it quits.

My sister didn’t really believe me, lol.

Usually I quit when things are great and start back when things get crappy. I think I have a real good chance this time because I started when things are kinda crappy so it’s probably only going to get easier.

Glad to have done it though, I have been meaning to do this and a lot of other things since March but I was using the “buddy-system” with a procrastinator. Next stop – P90X.

Lung Cancer Update

I have had a cough since I went to Florida with Jane, so I recently got a chest x-ray to see if I had pneumonia from all the water.

Not only is it NOT pneumonia, but I actually do NOT have lung cancer despite my smoking for the better part of the last 17 years (jeez am I that old?)

Planning on quitting again soon, while I’m ahead.

…that’s what some people do instead of getting all made up.

After examining many many pictures of various people I know on Facebook, I came to the conclusion that a lot of people look better normally, indeed even “GREAT” normally, and when they decide to get all “made up” for a night out on the town or something they look WORSE than normal.

Isn’t that weird?
