I’ve added WordPress

To learn how to make WordPress themes, I have changed MattMeade.com over to WordPress. The basics are done but expect a few tweaks to the theme in the near future as I iron out all the details.

To have a hard copy and keep everything consolidated, I will be transferring all my Myspace.com blogs to MattMeade.com and stop updating the blog at Myspace.com.

Happy New Year!

What a great year and the next will be even better. Thanks for partying on the eve!

Happy New Year!

Ada boy!

I rock

“Usually I.T. hears all of the problems, but never the good things. I just wanted to tell you that the online expense report program was fantastic. I’ve done many expense reports over the years and I’ve done them many different ways and this by far is the best method I have used. Debbie turns these things around on a dime. Well done to all.”

That’s what happens when I can build shit my way, instead of updating sites that are already old and broken.

I started in IT

I finally made it. I officially started in IT as Web Designer Monday the 5th, 2007!

Took me by complete surprise actually. After waiting and waiting my new boss calls up Friday and is like “ok, you’re starting Monday”.

It’s awesome. Where I was counting the minutes lunch or home before, I just work right through now. I am enjoying myself so much I look up and realize I missed lunch or home an hour ago!

Now that I don’t have to do that during my free time, this also frees up a lot of my spare time! I will be in touch more now, I promise! Basically, a life changing event. It’s all coming together now.

To commemorate finally becoming a career webmaster, I have dug out of the depths, my very first home page from over 10 years ago (yikes!) Sadly I was only able to find the second version of it (yes it was actually uglier):

Work Work Work

Ha, last week Kevin tells me to keep the overtime under 8 hrs.

I’m thinking ‘great, free time again!’

This week he’s getting clearance for me to work more hours again and get the project really rolling.

Oh well, 1 week of freedom anyway, and it fell on my birthday-week at least.

Putting in the hours is definately a good thing for me overall though. I don’t mind it since it’s still a huge opportunity for me.
