Handy plugin
To learn how to make WordPress themes, I have changed MattMeade.com over to WordPress. The basics are done but expect a few tweaks to the theme in the near future as I iron out all the details.
To have a hard copy and keep everything consolidated, I will be transferring all my Myspace.com blogs to MattMeade.com and stop updating the blog at Myspace.com.
What a great year and the next will be even better. Thanks for partying on the eve!
Happy New Year!

I rock
That’s what happens when I can build shit my way, instead of updating sites that are already old and broken.
So I thought mattmeade.com had gone too long without much of anything there.
I spruced it up a wee bit. Nothing like a finished page but nothing like an empty one anymore either.
Started playing with my myspace profile and then got determined I wasn’t going to sleep till it was done.
Turned out to be like 4am, but I now have a reasonable approximation of my fav 80s video. So tired.
Still needs some work but all the basics are in place, I can tweak images later.
I finally made it. I officially started in IT as Web Designer Monday the 5th, 2007!
Took me by complete surprise actually. After waiting and waiting my new boss calls up Friday and is like “ok, you’re starting Monday”.
It’s awesome. Where I was counting the minutes lunch or home before, I just work right through now. I am enjoying myself so much I look up and realize I missed lunch or home an hour ago!
Now that I don’t have to do that during my free time, this also frees up a lot of my spare time! I will be in touch more now, I promise! Basically, a life changing event. It’s all coming together now.
To commemorate finally becoming a career webmaster, I have dug out of the depths, my very first home page from over 10 years ago (yikes!) Sadly I was only able to find the second version of it (yes it was actually uglier):
Yay for new clients.
Will be web-designing for a real-estate agency and possibly Randy’s fishing group.
Of course that means less free-time, but I’m not that interested in free-time right now.
QC Database goes live tommorow, at a big scary meeting where I conference call the whole world so that they can ask me questions and try to throw me off my game and kill me.
Wish me luck.
Ha, last week Kevin tells me to keep the overtime under 8 hrs.
I’m thinking ‘great, free time again!’
This week he’s getting clearance for me to work more hours again and get the project really rolling.
Oh well, 1 week of freedom anyway, and it fell on my birthday-week at least.
Putting in the hours is definately a good thing for me overall though. I don’t mind it since it’s still a huge opportunity for me.
