Saturday the guys from our local Street Fighter scene traveled to a state-wide tournament together to compete. We did pretty well, I got 13th out of 40-50 and one of our guys got 4th. I will post video ASAP.

I was happy with my play for the most part, the only big mistake I made was thinking I could push around Luis’ Sagat (I don’t know why that is stuck in my head, maybe because he was so bad when I first met him) but up till then I was on point. Nothing worse than blowing a tournament because you were jsut having an off day or the pressure got to you, so I was glad that didn’t happen.

Also it was fun just because it was a road-trip, and I feel like I know the guys I traveled with a little more than I did before.

When I got home it was time to watch UFC with Jose! I have been missing watching fights at his house lately so this was long overdue. BJ Penn and Kenny Florian won as I predicted.

After UFC Mike, Brian, Cody and me went sledding at the park which was ridiculously fun. We hit a few jumps on the way down the hill, and I even got to test my frisbee theory (…that you can sled down a hill on all fours using only four frisbees.)

I hosted one of our bi-weekly meetings to play Street Fighter IV. It was fun as hell. I grilled up a ton of food and we had ourselves a tournament.

Also this is the last time I will probably see Brendan for a while so I’m glad we had fun.

That sucks because he was one of my few friends I made locally since moving here. Can’t be replaced.

I am still disappointed in the ranking system though.

We officially have a local scene now. Our first meeting to play Street Fighter was today.

It was fun, good people. I’m pleased this is turning out so well since I started it.

Today I launched a site to form a scene for local Street Fighter players.

Got Rock Band 2 today, so if you are on Xbox Live, come play in my band!

I got an X-Box 360 yesterday and Street Fighter 4 today!

Loving it!

I installed DMFI on my Neverwinter Nights server (I love it when I update), got a small group on their Sunday (Me, Eric, Anna, and Faye) and even got to DM a little!

Woot.

Just makes me want to update that much more next weekend.

(Plus 4.0 with Jose Friday and Saturday was fun as hell)

Been playing Urban Dead again recently, this time in a group with some people I actually know for a change.
