I just crossed the border on my first out-of-state work trip! I love being on the road, even if it’s raining today.

On the road again…
My first solo business trip in the company car, (I hope I don’t crash it)!
Driving around the state fixing networks (I hope I don’t crash it) and listening to my ipod, fun!
I LOVE my new job!
New Year’s Resolutions
2009 Resolutions:
- Phase meat and dairy out of my regular diet (I have a year, not cold turkey). FAIL
- Save money. I’m tired of living paycheck to paycheck. WIN
- Make the non-profit org I started official. WIN
- Upgrade my job. I either need a new one or a raise. FAIL
- Get back to Jiu-Jitsu (This depends a lot on resolution 2 and 4, but I miss it so). FAIL
Best week ever
Ok, technically it’s the best weekend ever.
- Non-profit brainstorm
- Got to watch a (DVR) UFC fight with Jose
- Got Gert vaccinated now that I have money
- Festival at the park
- gourmet hot dogs
- Street party
- Pub-crawl
- Received an important certificate in the mail
- And I even found where I could buy one of those political yard-signs I’ve been looking for.
Nice sunny days, seriously couldn’t get much better.
Non profit org for families in need
It started as just volunteering to do web design for a local charitable non-profit, but ended up with me being on the board of directors. I just attended my first meeting.
The group organizes fun events (very golf-centric) and then donates the proceeds to needy families (something they had been doing before he made it an official non-profit)
Still waiting on 501c3 status (applied for). Edit: We were granted 501(c)3 status.
