Why I hate visiting doctors, by Matt Meade

I have noticed a pattern. Every time I go to the doctor I find out I already know everything they can tell me. It is either something specific I knew, or I am unsure and the doctor tells me he too is unsure. Why then, should I go, why should I pay them? This is the attitude that generally keeps me away from them with 2 exceptions:
1. Imminent danger! trouble breathing, bleeding that won’t stop, missing body parts. I would go for these.
2. I need a doctors note for work (confirming what I already know).

Edit: I had Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) which apparently comes and goes
