Dad’s car
September 14th, 2007Wednesday was the anniversary of my fathers passing. I’ve had him on my mind a lot lately as the date was approaching. He loved to work on cars and motorcycles, he actually started on bicycles as a young greasemonkey. He made cars for GM to support us. He would go on and on about the Studebaker, his favorite car.
So last night I’m feeling particularly lonely and take a walk to the 7/11. There sits a 37 Studebaker for sale across the street. What are the chances? What a piece of history! A lot of memories of my dad came flooding in and I had to stop and look at it a while. I wish he could have been there with me to kick the tires, but in a way I think he was. I wish he’d been around for a lot of things.
It’s only $6,500 obo with 33,000 miles on it and I’m going to check it out.
