Lockflow has learned that the BJJ Grandmaster has passed away at a hospital in Chicago this morning. The reason for his death is still a little fuzzy, but it appears that Carlson was admitted into the hospital for prostate gland problems.
Carlson Gracie was considered one of the top fighters in his day and went on to become a trainer of champions. His students include: José Mario “The Zen Machine” Sperry, Andre Pederneiras, Ricardo Libório, Allan Góes, Murilo Bustamante, Stephan Bonnar and Vitor Belfort.
This is a huge loss to our community and Lockflow would like to thank Carlson for all he has done for us and our heartfelt prayers go out to his family, friends and students.
